Caitlin was raised in a small neighborhood on the outskirts of a small town. She didn't have guidance on college or how the world works. After leaving home at sixteen and finding her way into just surviving the world, she discovered that there was so many crucial parts of life that was never taught. These lessons either taught before or after catastrophes hit.

 Looking back at school, no one taught things like buying a home, getting into college, social security, insurance, retirement, etc. All of these valuable things are not really talked about until you are already on your own, trying to just figure out life. Unless you have a peer, mentor, or parent, you have to seek and learn these things yourself.

 It seems like life likes to throw curveballs when you are on a winning streak and that is exactly what happened. Despite knowing so little, Caitlin at 22 managed to work hard and get her a home.

Up in flames, it seemed like everything was ruined but she stayed resilient. She took a look around her and learned from it. Why didn't she have home insurance? Not knowing is not a good enough excuse and will not get your home back.

She started asking questions and no one could answer basic insurance questions.
